Youngest son to Donatello of the Sharlayan House Valerian, August was born of his affair with a miqo'te dancer. Ever his family's embarrassment, August dedicated himself to becoming the best gleaner out there to earn his father's approval.Finding he had a natural talent for exploring, tracking (and, of course, stealing) August soon established himself as a treasure hunter in his own right. Now, he travels the world seeking rare and powerful artifacts to sell to the highest bidder - and cause a little mayhem for the upper class, of course.

August is a charistmatic rogue with a penchant for 'borrowing' whatever treasures he can get his hands on in order to leverage money or power from somebody who needs it.
He likes to present himself as quite a jovial fellow, cracking jokes with a carefree attitude. Beneath that lies a cold, calculated combatant when he's up against it - with a laser focus on getting the job done.
He can be confident to the point of cockiness at times - especially when he feels like he's got the upper hand already.

What self-respecting rogue doesn't have a dagger slipped into his boot for emergencies? August stole this from a historical weapons auction, and makes good use of its hidden trigger that releases a stored poison along the edge of the blade.

Arcane Lockpick

Sharlayan technology really is quite fantastic. This lockpick uses a small aetheric charge to disrupt not only physical locks, but also some magical seals and barriers. Can't steal what you can't reach, after all.

August is rarely seen in casual or fancy clothing - he prefers to keep it functional with various leather attires that leave him with enough freedom of movement to sneak around and fight wherever he may find himself in trouble.

Perhaps you need something located - an artifact, a relic, or even something that was stolen from you. August charges a finder's fee, of course, but there's few places across the world he won't venture to if the price is right.

Mercenary Work

You can't swipe treasures without getting your hands a little dirty, and August's are filthy. Skilled in infiltration, stealth and combat, he's not above taking on a job that involves fighting, or even assassination if there's enough gil on the table.

Sharlayan

While he makes a point not to settle there for any great length of time, Sharlayan is where August grew up - and where House Valerian is still an influential power in politics. Gossip moves quickly - and everyone in those circles knows of the Valerian wild-child.

• August is gay, although I'm not looking for romantic roleplay without building up a relationship within other RP and getting to know each other first. Please don't hit me up asking for ERP or asking to ship your character with August out of the blue, because it's not likely to happen.• I'm currently on Balmung (Crystal) and I'm UK-based (GMT/EST+5). I'm around most evenings and throughout the weekends, but due to work etc. I'm not often online extremely late Monday-Thursday. Keep that in mind as scheduling RP might be quite difficult if our schedules don't ever sync up.
